The unofficial AutoCAD Release 14 Bug List was, unfortunately, never made fit for human consumption, and was therefore never published. For AutoCAD 2000 bugs, see my on-line Bug Watch column and Terry Dotson's list. The following spreadsheet is the only published Release 14 bug information I have.
Download 1314BUG.ZIP (21 KB)
This zipped Excel 95 spreadsheet lists all bugs which have appeared in CADALYST Bug Watch articles from the first Release 13 article to September 1997, and shows if each bug has been fixed by any of the 10 versions of Release 13, or by Release 14. The issue date is shown, followed by the title and the identifying number from the unofficial Release 13 bug list. This spreadsheet accompanies the Bug Watch Bonanza article in the October 1997 issue of CADALYST.
Download 13BUG.ZIP (89 KB)
Seventh edition of the unofficial AutoCAD Release 13 Bug List, zipped ASCII text format.
Download 13BUGDOC.ZIP (114 KB)
Seventh edition of the unofficial AutoCAD Release 13 Bug List, zipped Microsoft Word for Windows 6.0 format.
Download 12C3D.ZIP (8 KB)
Mike Dickason's unofficial AutoCAD Release 12c3 DOS Bug List, zipped ASCII text format.
Download 12C3W.ZIP (8 KB)
Mike Dickason's unofficial AutoCAD Release 12c3 Windows Bug List, zipped ASCII text format. Note: the introductory paragraph in this document incorrectly states that the list is for DOS. Ignore this, it really is a Windows list.
Download 1CLICK.ZIP (18KB)
From Owen Wengerd of ManuSoft: ARX utilities for Release 13 and 14 for Windows which fix the bug in which AutoCAD loses clicks when you are working fast. To use, create or modify a text file called ACAD.RX in AutoCAD's search path, and add the line 1Click14.arx or 1Click13.arx to it, depending on which version of AutoCAD you use. AutoCAD will automatically load the routine at startup. Note: this and many other interface-related features are now part of ManuSoft's QuikPik shareware routine.
Download ATTREDEF.ZIP (10KB)
This fixes the bug described as "Assertive Attredef revisited" in CADALYST April 2000's on-line Bug Watch column. This is a modified version of Autodesk's copyrighted software for Release 2000 and is provided "as is" by Steve Johnson. For AutoCAD 2000 only.
Download BONUS.ZIP (77KB)
This collection of updated AutoLISP files fixes the bugs described as "Bonus for xenophobes" in CADALYST August 1997's Bug Watch column, and a bug with REVCLOUD where the arc length value is incorrectly stored and retrieved when using feet and inch units. This is a modified version of Autodesk's copyrighted software for Release 14 and is provided "as is."
Download DDUNITS.LSP (19KB)
This fixes the bug described as "Precision panic" in CADALYST August 1997's Bug Watch column. This modified version of Autodesk's DDUNITS.LSP file for Releases 12 or 13 is provided "as is" by Ian White.
Download DDINSERT.LSP (25KB)
This fixes the bug where DDINSERT applies the current units settings to the edit boxes and therefore may truncate values, thereby inserting blocks at the wrong scale. This modified version of Autodesk's DDINSERT.LSP file for Release 14 is provided "as is" by Ian White and has not been fully tested with imperial units.
Download LEADFIX.LSP (3KB)
This fixes the bug described as "Dim block head " in CADALYST December 1998's Bug Watch column. This AutoLISP file for Releases 13 or 14 fixes up leaders which refuse to use standard closed filled arrowheads, and is provided "as is".
Download ROMANS3.ZIP (16KB)
This replacement for the R14 ROMANS font file avoids the problem of dimensions with unstacked fractions having text placed higher than in dimensions without fractions, allows more dimension text to fit between the lines, and addresses the problem of various characters causing variable line spacing in mtext. ROMANS3 is like the standard Release 14 ROMANS font, except it reduces the size of the / ' " \ | ` ^ [ ] ( ) ; , : - and space characters. Modified version of Autodesk copyright software, supplied "as is."
Note: I once published a ROMANS1 font. ROMANS3 is its replacement. Autodesk produced a ROMANS2.SHX file which contains reduced-size slash and backslash characters, which is why my ROMANS3 is called ROMANS3 and not ROMANS2.
